Gorilla trekking: Rwanda is home to the endangered mountain gorillas, and one of the best places in the world to see them is in the Volcanoes National Park. Visitors can take guided treks into the forest to observe these gentle giants in their natural habitat.

History: After the 1994 genocide, the country faced enormous challenges in rebuilding and healing from the trauma.
